Ok so now I have not only been harrassed by comments on my blog...I've been verbally harrassed by my mother in law. No I'm just kidding Cyndy you weren't harrassing me, I just put that in for drama.

Anyway I haven't updated because nothing much has happened that is "Blog worthy". I know I post a lot about nothing, but this time I really didn't have anything that good.

So now for the post.....TA DAH! We went to the mall...I didn't even buy anything other than the tokens for the Merry-go-round thing!! Now that is blog worthy...Me, mall...no purchase...oops well except for the Pre-order on make-up. (But they are having a gift with purchase so I had to.)

Ok Cyndy you better be proud of this post because:

1. I didn't buy anything at the mall

2. I took my kids on the Merry-go-round (what a nice mom right? You know what a waste of money I think that thing is.)

3. I dedicated this post to you!

Thanks to all of you who were worried about me because I had been slacking in the blogging area. I was glad to know I was missed...well you missed my posts at least.

How long have you been married? 8 1/2 years but we've been together since we were 13 (With the exception of a 1 year break).

How long did you date? 5 years We got married just before I turned 19. I think my mom was going to kill me because I was so young.

Who eats more sweets? That would be ME! I wish I was better about that.

Who said I love you first? I think it was Gentry, but it was back when we were just kids.

How old is he? 28

Who is taller? It depends on the shoes. He is actually about 1/2 inch taller, but I always sport the 4 inch heels

Who is smarter? HELLO ME ofcourse!

Who can sing better? Well Gentry definitely sings more often, but singing has always been a passion of mine. Gentry loves to sing songs in Spanish to the kids. (Well the spanish doesn't make sense... I asked Ryan to translate and he said they were just a bunch of random words he was singing, sometimes I get annoyed with his fake language.)

Who pays the bills? I do...how else do I sneak the money to buy a new pair of shoes or pants with out him knowing?

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me.

Who mows the lawn? Gentry. I've done it a couple times, but I think he likes it. There's not much lawn to mow now with the pool...just concrete!Who cooks dinner? Mostly me, but he makes an awesome Mac and Cheese!

Who drives? That would be Gentry! He always says he gets car sick if anyone else drives. (However, I have to tell him where to go, when to stop, slow down, speed up, you know the usual.)

Who is more stubborn? Well it used to be me, but he has gotten pretty stubborn in the last few years....ok so it's me.

Who kissed who first? Gentry kissed me first...ofcourse with the push of his friend Brock giving him the "whistle" which apparently meant "Kiss her". I found out a while later that's what all the whistling was from.

Who asked who out? Gentry asked me out. We were so young it was the "Will you go out with me?"...and you don't really go anywhere, you're just "together".

Who proposed? He did. But I did give him a timeline...we were going on a trip for a family reunion and I wanted to have the ring before we left. He totally surprised me and he came to my house at 5 am and proposed by my bed ( I was dead asleep and had to get a piece of gum before I could kiss him.) He was so sincere, I love that memory! He was supposed to ask me that night, but it wouldn't have been a surprise I have to give it to him, he totally surprised me and I LOVED IT!

Who has more siblings? ME, I have 6 and he just has a sister. Poor guy probably overwhelmed by my huge family.

Who wears the pants? I do...I've tried to be better about letting him make the call, but I guess I'm a bit of a control freak?

Gentry is the best husband a girl could ask for. He always helps with the kids, lets me go with the girls, scratches my back til I fall asleep, watches my chick flicks, and girl shows. He is so funny I am always laughing at him. He does anything and everything I love. We are connected at the hip (according to my sister), and I wouldn't have it any other way! I told him this morning I wished he shaved his armpits and about an hour later he was hanging shirtless in the doorway asking what he should wear to church. I looked at him...(wondering why he didn't have a shirt on) and noticed he had shaved his armpits for me. He totally listened. (And still trying to impress me.) I feel bad because he told me after church his armpits hurt, razor burn....oops. But they look good!

So while Gentry and I were in San Diego, Alyssa did a cheer camp at Riverton Highschool. I tried time and time again to talk her out of it, because I knew we would be gone and I didn't want to miss it. (I also felt bad asking my mom to take her to the practice and performance.) But she insisted. She doesn't ask for much so I knew this was really important to her. She went the first day of practice and was a little shy. I stayed for a few minutes and watched. But I was so shocked that she was getting so involved and she didn't have any friends with her. She did it all by herself...which is a big deal because she is usually pretty shy. She loved every minute of it. She was so excited to tell me about it. My mom took the pictures for me, and my mother in law was going to video it with our video camera...but the batteries were dead. I was so sad. Leave it to me to send my mother in law with a dead battery. Oh well at least we got some good pictures of the event. (Thanks Mom!)

San Diego

We went to San Diego this last weekend with our friends. It was really fun. We had plane tickets that were going to expire, so we decided to use them up. Nick and Mignon were nice enough to let us tag along and stay at their brother's condo. It was really nice.

We went to Sea World one day while we were there. It was fun, but I felt totally guilty that my kids were home. They were having the time of their life with Grandma Cyndy and Grandma Suzie. (Thanks again for taking them!) Oh and we went on the water ride...not sure what it's called, but don't let them fool you if the workers say you might get a "little" wet because we got SOAKED. Stupid worker was probably laughing so hard as she watched us go under the water fall. Oh well we had a good time. Little side note: I totally know how to get on and off the trax system they have. (Well Mignon knows and I follow her.)

Diet Coke, Shopping and Hair appointments

So this is an email I got a while ago from my good friend Kristin. I have had it saved for over a year in my mailbox, so I thought I'd post it to share with all of you. (Sorry if you've already heard it.)


Amanda was walking down the street when she was accosted by a particularly bedraggled and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked Amanda for a couple of dollars for dinner. Amanda took out her billfold, extracted ten dollars...and then asked, "If I give you this money, are you going to spend it on Diet Coke instead of dinner?" "No, I had to stop drinking that years ago", the homeless woman replied. "Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" Amanda asked. "No, I don't waste time shopping," the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive." "Will you spend this on a hair stylist instead of food?" Amanda asked. "Are you NUTS!?" replied the homeless woman. "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!""That's just fine," said Amanda, "I'm not only going to give you the money, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my hubby and myself tonight." The homeless woman was astounded. "Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm ragged, dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting." Amanda replied, "That's all right. It's important for Andy to see what a woman looks like after she's given up Diet Coke, shopping and hair appointments."

And there you have it girls! Let your hubby's read it too!

FAILED

Well you guessed it. I failed my diet. I don't know who I was kidding. I will say I am only drinking Diet Coke occasionally. But the no carb thing doesn't work for me. Doesn't the Word of Wisdom say to eat meat sparingly anyway? Yes I am pulling out the religion card...it's working in my favor at the moment. So does anyone have any ideas to get your pants to not feel so snug around the thighs without dieting? Just thought I'd check. And buying a bigger size is not an option at the moment:)

Oh and for those of you who were curious...I didn't lose A SINGLE pound during my 3 day DETOX aka starving myself. My friend lost 5 pounds. I guess there is a diet for everyone. Betsy is a weird name, they probably haven't made one up for me yet. I'll invent it. Here it is: Eat carbs if they make you happy and a little Diet Coke here and there never hurts, as long as you top it off with a little home made wheat bread! Ta Dah! That's my diet. I'll let you know how much weight I lose. Oh I'll tell you this much, at least I won't fail at my own diet. Right???

Every morning for the last who knows how long I have been a faithful runner. I started last summer with some girls in my neighborhood, which make it way more entertaining. In fact it is way fun! (Music on the Ipod only keeps me entertained for so long.) But what is wrong with me? We are exercising for an hour to an hour and a half every single morning. I CAN'T LOSE weight. It's pretty depressing.

So I got this bright idea 3 days ago from another friend to quit drinking Diet coke. Yes that's right...my best friend aka DIET COKE. I fell for it and I have been off Diet Coke for 3 days. I have had no energy and a splitting headache. Oh and even better...this "friend" told me to quit eating carbs too. So on top of all of this I am STARVING! No loss of weight, but I did lose my personality and my favorite drink (Oh and my husband almost hates me). I don't think I can look at a piece of meat again without wanting to throw up in my mouth. I am letting you know this in advance....DON'T try the diet, it just makes you miserable. But I am going to see if I can stay off Diet Coke for a little longer and only drink it a occasionally or something.

Oh notice how dark it is behind us (because it's so dang early)...and Katie..the roads are not plowed. Wow we are troopers for sure!
