D-Backs Pool Party

Brock's coach asked if we could have a pool party at our house since the season is over.  It was a really good turn out and the kids all seemed to have a good time!
I was just glad I didn't have to get in the pool with the kids....I got to relax and make sure no one drowned.
Dan (the coach) threw the ball in the air and who ever caught 3 balls got to be the next person to throw the ball (I can't remember the name of the game) and Boston caught the first 3 balls.  I guess Boston should have played baseball this year.

Brock got his team pictures tonight too.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Happy Father's Day to the best husband I could ever ask for, and the "awesomes Dad in the world".
Alyssa sent Gentry on a treasure hunt for his gift.  She decorated a cup like the ocean and filled it with fish saying things she would do for Gentry to help around the house.
Gotta take some pictures while everyone still looks nice....

This is the card from Alyssa

This is the card from Boston.  It reads:
Dear Dad, I love you more than anything.  I love you so so much.  You are my bestest pal in the world because you let me drive the car.  Love, Boston
(Gentry lets the kids drive on our street while they are sitting on his lap.)
This is the card from Brock.  It reads:
Dear Dad, I tell pepole your the awsome's Dad in the world.  No on belive's me.  There just dumb but I still like Nate.  I love you.  Thanks for helping with baseball.  From Brock
I got Gentry this shirt and watch for Father's Day, but I think the kids cards were my favorite part.  I love how honest kids are.  They crack me up.  I'm so lucky to be married to this guy!
We had dinner at our house.  Kim had to work so he and Cyndy didn't make it.

I have the greatest Dad a girl could ask for.  I'm so glad he's retired so I get to see him a little bit more.  He's always up for meeting us at lunch or dinner.  He loves to come pick up the kids and take them to Del Taco.  They think it's great....and so do I!  I LOVE YOU DAD!

All-Stars, Field Trips and Lots of Fun

Brock had All-Star Tryouts on Monday night.  There were 118 boys trying out and only 36 spots available (for 3 different teams).  I told him that he did a good job, but that he probably won't make it.  I also told him Gentry didn't make it until he was older.  (Hoping that would make it a little easier to take.)  So Tuesday afternoon when I got a call from the All-star coach I was really surprised he made it.  I couldn't wait for him to get home so I could see the look on his face.  HE WAS THRILLED! His last game with the D-Backs was Tuesday night.
Brock and his coach Dan McCay

We always have pretzels in the pantry.  The other day Boston said, "Mom, will you refill the pretzel machine?"  So  I laughed and refilled the jar.
I went with Alyssa on her field trip.
I was in charge of teaching the kids about Adobe bricks.

Luckily I had Angie with me.  She's the smart one who actually taught the kids some actual facts.
The kids had to put the mud in the wood and make a brick.

The weather has been really windy the last week.  Brock and Boston were both getting swollen eyes.  Not sure if it was the weather or the cat that showed up at our house.

The kids left food and water out for it, along with a blanket...no wonder it stays around.

This morning Adrienne surprised me with a visit.  She bought this cute headband.  She only got to stay for a few hours but it was fun anyway.

I took Alyssa and Halle for pedicures.  They thought it was pretty cool being with Adrienne and me.

Meanwhile Brock stayed at the closing Ceremonies for baseball.  Since he was picked for All-stars he got a trophy.  I think he was pretty excited.

The best part about making All-Stars is his cousin Max made the same team!!!
A bunch of his friends made the same team too!  Hopefully they do well!!!

Last Week of Off Track!

I tried to make this off track time fun for the kids.  Adrienne and her kids came up Saturday night.  The kids swam Saturday and Sunday.

Adrienne wanted me to cut and color her hair.  She decided to go ALL THE WAY and chop it off!  I told her to make an ugly/sad face for her "before" pic.  I loved her new do so much I had to copy!
My straight version of the short cut.
Alyssa wanted to join the fun, so we added some melting highlights to her ends.
Tuesday we took the kids to Seven Peaks.  We bought passes last fall, and Adrienne hadn't been able to use them yet.  It was perfect weather and not many people were there yet.
I went to a chiropractor a few days ago and he said I needed to get rid of my suitcase aka purse.  He suggested a backpack....so I found this at Victoria's Secret...just following Doctor's orders.
Wednesday we took the kids to  Trafalga.  We had tried to take them to Classic, but when we got to Classic there was a whole field trip going on and it was way too crowded.  So we decided to try Classic on Thursday.

Boston and Tenli wanted to ride together.
The kids all came off the ride SOAKED!

Locklyn was the best little baby.  She just hung out and watched the kids in the stroller.

We took the kids to Del Taco on the way home.  Gentry and Alyssa were meeting us there, but Gentry thought I said the Del Taco on 106th instead of 126th.  He swore I told him wrong...thank goodness I had Adrienne listening in...He went to the wrong place and met us a few minutes later.
Thursday we took the kids to Classic.  It worked perfect.  No crowds that day!
Alyssa and Bailee rollerskated with the babies in the strollers.  They are such a big help!
We are the Moms that survived it all! And we feel like we should win an award for taking them all these fun places...ha ha.
The last day Adrienne was here, the kids were downstairs watching TV....Boston for some reason decided to throw his light saber and it hit the plasma TV...and broke it.  The next day I found a dollar in my purse from him.  I think he felt bad.

Saturday Alyssa got to go with the Young Men and Young Women to do the temple walk.  They walked 15.2 miles from the Draper temple to the Jordan River Temple to the Oquirrh Mountain temple.  She did great, but she said her knee was killing her.
My Mom and Dad drove by them as they were walking and my Mom got these two pics of Alyssa.

We were excited to cheer them on when they got to the Oquirrh Mountain temple.
After the temple walk the kids wanted to come back and swim.  Bridger was over at our house for a little bit and the boys were in heaven.  They love their cousin!
Alyssa and Lexi swam for a while after the temple walk.  I don't know how they had any energy!
Earlier on Saturday Cyndy had taken the boys to her house to play with Bridger for a little bit.  They went through Gentry's old stuff and found some "cool" gear.  Brock of course has to wear it all.
