After Christmas Party

Katie was sweet enough to host our friends Christmas party this year.  It happened to be on the night of a BYU football bowl game.  The boys watched the game and the girls visited.  Sounds like a pretty awesome night to me!  (Let's be honest, the girls just want to sit and chat anyway.)

We played the white elephant/$10 present game.  Here's what everyone came home with.

Zupas gift card and Hog on a Log (Allison's new version of a Jewish Elf on the Shelf)
Chick-fil-a gift card and Detox vitamins
Target Gift card and (this was our white elephant...Gentry thought it would be funny to put a framed picture of us when we did a photo-shoot for a hotel and it looks like we are taking a bath with wine and lots of bubbles...but really we are wearing swimsuits.)
Maverik Gift card and a "Box of Chocolates" (this is the ongoing joke every year)
Batteries that say "toy not included" and iTunes gift card
And last but not least....THIS WAS THE BEST GIFT!!!  We got Poo Pourri, My kids were soooo excited that we got to bring this home! Also a gift card to the movies.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This year the kids slept in until 6:30.  Then they were ready to open presents!

Then we took the kids to see the movie Saving Mr. Banks.   According to Brock  we "wasted half of our Christmas on the worst movie ever."  Well at least they had popcorn to make the time go by quicker.  I kept waiting for the movie to get better.  Oh well.
Then it was time for dinner at the Mikesell's.
The kids got to open a few presents.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was really fun this year, but it was also sad...we were missing so many people!  Jennifer and her family stayed in Minnesota and Chris and Missy and their families stayed in Vegas.  So it was just our family, Matt's family Alan's family and Janay.  Small group.  We still had a great time but we definitely missed everyone who wasn't there.

We did the annual Nativity Story
Alyssa was Mary and Boston was Joseph
We sang some songs until Santa came.
Gentry made a video of the night with his cell phone.
The kids told Santa what they wanted for Christmas.....

It was a successful night!  Merry Christmas!!!

CHRISTMAS PAJAMAS

My favorite tradition is pajama night....and it didn't disappoint this year!  I LOVE the pajamas.  They are my favorite.  I love how comfy they are too....so maybe I haven't taken them off other than to shower.

The kids also decorated Gingerbread Men

Cyndy bought some fun props for pictures.  The kids LOVED them.  I think that was their favorite part of the night.
