Nanny McPhee???

Before the missing tooth

Alyssa has had a loose front tooth for a while now, and it finally got to the point where it was annoying to look at. I tried talking her in to letting me pull it for her but she wouldn't let me because she was too scared. I told her that her tooth made her look like Nanny McPhee, but she still wouldn't budge. So in sacrament she is playing with her tooth and it is bleeding from wiggling. I told her that she needed to let me pull it because she was going to get blood on her white shirt. Gentry of course is trying to be the referee between me and Alyssa because I was getting so frustrated with her. (I'm sorry but it was so gross to look at.) I some how got her in to the bathroom and next thing I know I have two teenage girls trying to help me talk her into letting me pull the stinking tooth. Long story short....we got it! She was pretty happy about it, and now I owe her $5.00. (I had to offer something good so she would let me pull it out....it was the best $5.00 I've spent in a while:)

Starting to resemble Nanny McPhee

Ta Da! Nanny McPhee no more! Don't mind the fruit punch stains:)

Stories of The Boys

This is an old picture, Boston's teeth didn't go white miraculously:) But you know my need for a visual.

I have to write this down because I know I'll forget in a few days, and I think my boys will appreciate these stories.

#1  Yesterday we got a couple packages from UPS for Gentry's business and the guy set them on the floor by the front door.  I was in the kitchen and I here the boys telling each other that the package is from P. Sherman.  I was so confused so I asked them who is P. Sherman and they said "you know from Nemo"  I was laughing.

#2 (Read at your own risk)  So Boston always wants me to wipe his bum.  I am tired of giving in to him so I've been making him do it himself.  So now every time he goes poo he comes out and bends over asking "Is the poo all gone?"  So for a while I would check and say yes...or go wipe again.  He started doing a good job, so you know how you can get a little lazy....well he came out and wanted me to check.  So from a distance I said "Yep looks good!"  Then he said "I didn't even have to wipe!"  I was like...oh crap (literally).  "Actually go wipe one more time just to be sure."

BEST BUDDIES

Brock...once again picked his outfit himself.
Boston, my sick little guy.

Boston woke up last night with the flu, I'll save you from the details..but thank goodness Gentry was home, I gag and just about throw up hearing or smelling things, so poor Gentry gets stuck with most of the clean up.

So today I went upstairs to check on Boston.  I had put him in the guest room because I was hoping to keep Brock and Alyssa germ free.  But as I walked in the room Brock was with him.  He was making games all morning for Boston when he woke up. (He even offered to clean the basement for Boston.)  I thought it was pretty sweet, because Brock is usually my "tough guy", but he has a pretty tender side.  He can't be away from his brother, so he brought in a chair and was eating Boston's saltine crackers.  I thought it was pretty cute.  I hope they always have a special bond even as they get older.  They really are inseparable.  I love my little buddies.

The Latest PRANK

(This picture is of Katie after getting a strike while bowling, and I needed a visual for the post)
So for those of you who know Gentry you know he loves a good prank.  And lots of his pranks just so happen to involve my friend Katie.  Here's the story.

About 3:00 PM I get a text on my phone from Katie, it reads:

FWD: Do not go to any Walmart tonight.  Gang initiation to shoot 3 women tonight.  Not sure which Walmart.  And confirmed on tv.  fwd to all girls in ur phone.

So when Gentry gets home I showed him the text he laughs and shakes his head and says "only Katie."  Then he precedes to tell me I should call her and tell her I'm at Walmart and there has been a shooting.  I told him no way and he had to do the calling.  So he asks me for her number and this is the phone conversation.

GENTRY: Hey Katie, it's Gentry I'm trying to get Ryan's phone number I was going to tell him about the shooting at Walmart.

KATIE: Don't even say that.   I already got in trouble from Ryan.  I don't know why I believed my stupid cousin and now I've had a million calls.  Here I am just trying to save someone's life.

Gentry just laughed and I called Katie from my phone.  She told me she's still bitter about the Regis and Kelly prank Gentry played on her 5 years ago, and so he should lay low.  (That's another story for another day.)   I was laughing because she told me she was just trying to save someone's life and now she's used up all of her texting for the month.  So I think we all need to get together and buy Katie some extra texts.  Ha ha.  Katie we love you!  Thanks for putting up with all of our pranks.--Betsy

STEEERIIIIIKKE!

We took the kids bowling with Katie and Ryan.  It was really fun.  The adults bowled on one lane and the kids bowled on the other lane.  The kids pretty much did it on their own, so we could have a VERY competitive game:)
Yes I am quite proud of this picture.  Gentry usually closes at least one eye...not this time.
Ahem..would you please notice how many pins I knocked down on the first try:)
Katie and Ryan and their baby Davis.
Brock...wow check that smile:) Nostrils are a flaring.  Ps he picked the outfit, and some things aren't worth the fight.
Boston, bowling with his favorite color.
OH YEAH CHECK THEM MUSCLES:)
Please take note:  Gentry's eyes are open AGAIN!!  Yeah Gentry!
Me and Katie...or as my family refers to her "Jackie".  Funny story my brother Chris thought her name was Jackie, and Katie was too nice to correct him so he always called her that until finally I heard him and corrected him.  It became a family joke, and 15 years later my brother Matt saw her in a parking lot and yelled "Hey Jackie!" and Katie still turned around.  He couldn't believe she still knew her McInnes family "given" name.
Alyssa and Bailee
Alyssa and Bailee helped the boys know when it was their turn to bowl.  Of course by the last two frames she was tired of it and wanted Bailee and the boys to bowl for her.

Pretty Witch?

So for those of you who know Boston, you know that he loves to dress up even if it's 100 degrees outside he will sweat in his Tigger costume.  (I'm not kidding either the other day he was red faced and sweating but he still wouldn't take off the costume.)  So a couple of days ago I was trying to leave to go grocery shopping and I am telling Boston to take of his "costume" so we could leave and he was throwing a fit because he wanted to be a pretty witch.  Well you can use your own judgement to decide if this is  a pretty witch costume.  Hey I guess I should be glad he is creative with the stuff we have.

Another kind of funny story:  The other day Brock came upstairs saying "Mom, Boston keeps kicking Alyssa in the nuts."  They love using the word "nuts".  So I told him to stop and later Boston said: "Mom some people don't have pee-pee's huh?"  and I asked who he was talking about and he said "Alyssa doesn't have one."  So I told him only boys have them.  He's just now realizing there is a difference between girls and boys.  Ok so maybe this wasn't completely blog appropriate, but I thought what the heck...The kids will think it's funny someday.

Alyssa is moving up.

So I am so proud of Alyssa. She started gymnastics this last fall and has loved it. I moved her to a new place this last October. I can't believe how well she has done. She is such a determined little girl. About a month ago she finally mastered her front walk-over. I was there for parents day and I watched her do it for the first time and I yelled and clapped and was immediately embarrassed because you aren't even supposed to whisper. The mom next to me turned and said "She must be yours!" I laughed and said, "I'm just so excited!" So now that she passed her front and back walk-overs she gets to move up to the next class.

Here is her class picture. (I forgot it was picture day, and Gentry took her so her hair isn't fixed.)

Alyssa is quite the little reader now too. She loves to read the blog, and comments especially when they are about her. So here's the post for Alyssa!

Spring is coming...hopefully.

So I put my kids in their Easter outfits today, and I decided to take a couple pictures in case they get ruined before Easter. I love spring. It's like a Friday afternoon, you know the weekend is coming (summer). I thought these pics were such perfect shots of their personalities. They crack me up.
This is such a typical Brock face.
And this is so Boston.I thought this was a cute pic of Alyssa.
