Easter With Mikesell's

Monday afternoon we went to Gentry's parents house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner.  The kids got spoiled:)

Did I mention they got spoiled?  They loved it!

The annual swimsuit picture.  I love their faces.

Easter Dinner

We went to my sister Janay's house for dinner.  The tradition is that you have to find your egg before you can eat dinner.  Today we forgot to do that so we found our eggs before dessert.  And guess who was the first person to find their egg....ME!!!

HAPPY EASTER

I always like to take a family picture on holidays.  Especially holidays where the kids are clean and dressed with their hair combed.  Mostly because we all usually look like a wreck so the picture shows we got ready:)
After taking the first picture I looked at how it turned out and I told Gentry to bop Boston in the head for doing a silly face...I DIED laughing when I saw his face in the next picture.  He knows he is in trouble.
We always let the kids do a funny face picture at the end.

It's a little better around here now...

After a couple of hard days with the kids, we tried to some fun things.
We took them to the Riverton Easter Egg Hunt.

There were a ton of kids at the park.  They still ended up getting a ton of stuff too.

Then we went over to my parents house to dye eggs.  They thought it was fun.

That night we decided to take the kids to Rio.  It was a cute movie.  But their favorite part was dancing at the end.  Our friends let their kids dance when the movie is over and the credits are playing, so then it became the favorite part of the night.  We could probably have gotten away with out taking them to the movie and just let them dance at the end.
Easter morning the kids couldn't wait to see if the Easter Bunny brought them anything.  I had told them they might not get anything because of their attitudes earlier in the week.

Oh boy...

We had my niece Kate come stay at our house for a few nights last week.  Alyssa was in HEAVEN.  They seemed to keep themselves pretty entertained.  Changing their hair makeup and outfits about 10 times a day.  They even took some pictures of themselves...73 to be exact.  I found them this morning when I was loading the Easter pictures on the computer.

Boston and Brock made wings so that they could fly...luckily they didn't jump off anything too high.  Let's just say they didn't really work.

(On a side note I love that Alyssa is looking at herself in the mirror in the background of this pic.)

On Thursday I was trying to work and I had asked the kids to clean their rooms.  They were all being brats and wouldn't help with anything.  Needless to say I lost it and started crying and told them I didn't care what they were doing but I was going to be in my room with the door locked and they couldn't bother me.  I found out later they went to my sis in law Michele's house and told her they couldn't come home.  Sorry Michele...I owe you.  They made these cards for me, it made it harder to stay mad at them.

It felt like a really, REALLY long day.  Let's just say I wanted to quit being a Mom.
Alyssa tried to sneak this note under the door.  I was cracking up when I saw she crossed out supposed...cause she couldn't spell it.

I'm Gonna Be A Rockstar!

Brock found out Rockstars make lots of money...so guess what he decided to do???  Write his very own song.  I wonder if he'll get any contracts.

This next video is of when we were at my brother's house in Vegas...the boys tried playing Just Dance.  I crack up because Brock thought he could up his score by throwing in some extra break dancing moves. I love how Boston takes the game very seriously too.  You might want to fast forward to closer to the end.

Minute To Win It!

My friend Heather put together a couples game night.  It was even more fun than I could have imagined.  My stomach literally hurt from laughing.  (On a side note, unfortunately my abs don't miraculously look any better...)

I didn't really know what to expect because apparently I'm the only one who hasn't heard of any of these games.  But my competitive side came out and we WON!!!

The games started with a game where you had to pull kleenex's from a box with one hand.  Gentry lost that game....against mostly girls.  He actually tried to tell me his arm was sore.

Next up was a cookie game it had to go from your forehead to your mouth with out dropping...Gentry didn't win this round.
In fact the chocolate started melting on Gentry's face with all the pressure.
The next game was unwinding this crepe paper.  I decided to take over since Gentry wasn't winning:)
 It's actually harder than it looks...I didn't take first...but I didn't take last either:)

Heather, Katie, Me, Allison and Becca.
I made Gentry play this next game, you had to guzzle the soda just enough until it balanced on the side.  I love this picture because I was asking Gentry "if he was sure he didn't want to stand like everyone else"....he got mad that I even asked.  (In my defense I was just trying to stay competitive...he had lost the 2 previous rounds.)

This picture makes me laugh so hard.  Mike is in the background cracking up.  Ryan was basically cheating because he said the drink tasted like crap...so it conveniently "spilled".
Gentry, Ryan, Mike, Brent and Gerry
This game you had to keep the balloons in the air for at least one minute.  The guys were all worried that a minute wasn't near long enough, but after only keeping them in the air for about 5 seconds they realized they weren't as talented as they thought.

I didn't get a picture of the game "Junk In the Trunk".  Allison took some video so if I get brave I might just show it...I won that round:)

This game is suck...or something like that.  We had to see who could suck the most M&M's and put them in another bowl all within in a minute.  Yep I won that game too.
Then we had to put Vaseline on our nose to play a cotton ball game.  It was WAY harder than it looks.  I swear cotton is still coming out my nose!  Being humble and what not, I don't want to brag...but yep, I won that one too:)

Thanks Mike and Heather for planning such a fun night.  Seriously I can't stop laughing just thinking about it.
