THE GREEN GOBLINS

This year we decided to try out another organization for soccer.  We wanted the boys to play with their friends and cousin Max (aka Buzz) but in order to do that we had to provide a coach.  And so I volunteered Gentry.  (He hates being in charge so I told him I would be in charge he just needed to teach the kids to play soccer.)

The kids decided to go with the name GREEN GOBLINS...creative huh?!?

So yesterday was the boys 1st game.  The field was twice the size as last year and instead of 6 on 6 it was only 4 on 4.  So needless to say we had lots of kids on the team ready for their turn to rotate out.  The boys got a workout that's for sure.

Boston scored...I was so excited.  He didn't want to play just a few days ago, but I told him it was too late to change his mind.  I think I said something along the lines of "Newsflash buddy, I paid too much money for you to change your mind...You're gonna play and you're gonna like it." So when he scored Gentry threw him in the air to celebrate.  Before the game was over Brock scored too.  I was so glad. They both had a great time and were glad they played soccer.

The wind was horrible during the game so I'm blaming the windyness on why I didn't take very many pictures.  I took 3 pictures total. The first two are of Brock in action.  He's number 6.  Boston wanted to be number 3.
(Notice Coach Gentry on the right.)
Brock is probably one of the smallest kids on the team..next to Boston, although they are probably the oldest.  Looks like they might be taking after Daddy's height.

This last picture is of Boston right after he scored his first (and only) goal of the game.  He looks like he got a workout, I love the red face.

Oh yeah and notice Boston's TWO missing teeth.  Uncle Matt had to pull out the other one too. Funny story:

While Boston was at Matt's office he had just gotten him numb and Boston turned to me and said "Mom, it feels like I have a big PIMPLE on my lip."  (as if he's ever had one.)  I had to laugh though.

One last story:

I made this spicy garlic shrimp for dinner tonight.  The kids and Gentry all love it.  But after everyone was done and cleaned up Brock came in the other room and said "Mom, how long did you cook that shrimp?  Did you cook it for a long time?  Cause even after I got a drink my mouth is still burning."

I don't know why that made me laugh.  They call everything spicy.  Like when the strawberries or grapes are not ready to pick (but they pick them anyway) they tell me they are "spicy".  Or when something is hot they say it's spicy too.  I love those boys.
