We're BAAACK

We went to Disneyland this last week and we had a really good time. The kids had a blast. We decided to use our stimulus check to go do something with the kids. We heard Halloween at Disneyland was fun so we thought we'd try it. It was way fun. My mother in law came with us and bought us tickets to go trick or treating with the characters. That was probably my favorite part. We went together with Brock and Kristin's family. Alyssa had fun going on rides with Halle.

My only tip for those of you that have twins that are 39 and 3/4 inches and one that is 40 inches, make sure the shorter twin wears shoes with thicker soles. They are STICKLERS about height restrictions. We had to have Boston put on Alyssa's shoes just so he could get on some of the rides.

Alyssa "survived" the Tower of Terror. Grandma Cyndy bought her the shirt that said she went on the ride...but she didn't want to get back on. Once was enough for her. (She did it just so she could get the shirt, boy have I taught her well?!:)

--Think you're seeing double with the first and third pictures??? Well you are...don't ask, I can't figure out how to delete just that one, and let's be honest I don't have the patience to re-load ALL of the pictures, so try and find the difference between the two pictures, and if you find it you win a million dollars**

Halloween Party.

My friend Heather had a little Halloween get-together last night. I was excited to go, and my kids couldn't wait to wear their costumes. Now usually I would post EVERYONE'S costume, so you are all wondering why I didn't this time???...well that's because NO ONE ELSE wore their costume. Yep it was ME, HEATHER, GENTRY and the kids. Poor Gentry always is a sport to do what I tell him to, and then he shows up dressed as a stinking INCREDIBLE just to find nobody else dressed up. EMBARRASSING:) No, he didn't really care and we had fun so it was worth it.

Thanks Heather for the YUMMY dinner and fun!

PS Check my friend Adrienne's blog to see what else I did this weekend. Her link is the Nielson Family. ( I would have blogged it, but she did a better job.)

Crazy Hair Day.

Today was Crazy Hair Day at Alyssa's school. Of course I was excited about today thinking of all of the fun ways I can do Alyssa's hair. It's my job for "Pete's Sake"...um is that the saying?? (Who is Pete, and where did the saying come from?) Anyway I completely forgot that she has gymnastics right after school, and so I couldn't do anything too crazy because she doesn't have time to come home...she goes straight to gymnastics. So the crazy part was the fact that we added curlers and a few bows that didn't match. Don't judge..it's the best I could do with my time limits after school.

Happy Birthday Missy!

So today is my sister Missy's birthday. My mom took us to Cafe Rio for lunch and bought our meals with the frequent buyer cards. (Yes my family visits Cafe Rio often enough to have 3 free meals.) Anyway I made my mom order the food because I get kind of embarrassed when they yell "FREE MEAL". She didn't mind, and for the first time in Cafe Rio history they didn't even yell...boy was she lucky.

I have to say I really look up to my sister. She was the nicest to me growing up when all of my other siblings (Jennifer being excluded, she's the angel) were mean to me. Of course I probably deserved everything they did to me from flushing my head in the toilet, to locking me in my room. Missy was the one who took time to french braid my hair, or put makeup on me. She always gave me the big sister talks when I was feeling down. I cried the day she got married because I thought I lost her. She always kept me around though:) She even let me stay with her for a week when she lived in Idaho. I needed that time with her. She is the sister you can always turn to for advice, and she will make you feel like a million bucks when you are done talking to her.

Happy Birthday MISSY!!!

Wahoo Alyssa!

So this is a proud parent moment. Alyssa was picked for the Honor Roll. Yes I know you are all thinking..."but isn't her grandma her teacher?" Well the answer is yes, BUT she said she picked Alyssa because she felt like she really did deserve it this month the theme was Self Discipline, and I must say Alyssa is really good in this area. If she wants to do it she will work her little rear until she masters it.

Here is what Cyndy wrote on her certificate:

Alyssa is a wonderful example of Self Discipline. She is motivated to do her work without any reminders. She is persistent in completing a task. She always does her best work and takes pride in her work. She helps her classmates by setting a good example for them. We are lucky to have Alyssa in our class this year.

I have to throw in the "brag" posts because this is my way of keeping a journal. Ok why am I making excuses for my own blog???? I can post what I want right?

Family Pics...again.

I think we should win some kind of award. This is our second time in one week to have family pictures taken. My mother in law called us Monday morning saying she wanted to take pictures Thursday night. So now I'm posting for all of you to see. Yes I got to practice my timer again...but this time the terrain wasn't quite so bad-no ankle problems.

I do need to add that Kassie is the one who did the posing. She did a great job didn't she? She also took my family pictures..saving me from "timer" troubles. Thanks Kassie!

How To Label A Pumpkin

Many of you may wonder where the best place to put your name on your pumpkin. Well my boys have made the answer simple. Just write your name across the middle...that way you are sure that no one else will try to steal your pumpkin. (Little do my kids know, the pumpkins are way to heavy for anyone to try and steal.)

So here are a couple pics from the annual pumpkin patch at my mom's house. Thanks again Mom for the pizza and pumpkins!
