HALLOWEEN

This year Halloween was PERFECT weather.  I literally can't remember any other Halloween being so nice.  We actually got to see the kids' costumes.  Loved it!

So we decided to have a fire in the driveway and visit with the neighbors...we left our candy bowls out and chatted with all of the neighbors that came by.

These people came over to join us for the "party"...and of course they had to show us up by handing out FULL SIZE candy bars.  I laughed listening to how excited the kids were.
We let the kids go around with their friends....Who knew Halloween could be this much fun when the kids can go by themselves?!?
The boys were all business...they didn't have time to talk, they were literally running from house to house.  Boston didn't want zombie makeup this time.  He wanted people to see his face.  Brock decided to be a football player.

Angie knows how much I've wanted an egg cooker like hers, so she surprised me and got me one.  I was so excited.  Not sure what I loved more, the egg cooker...or the tag.  I laughed pretty hard.
Now I can make 7 EGGS at the same time...this is AWESOME!

Murder Mystery Party

This was our first Murder Mystery dinner.  I was so excited to go!  Everyone dressed up and got in to their parts.  It was a success!!  Gentry was a slick business man and I was 1940's socialite.

Greg was a pilot and Angie was a reporter.
Molly was a royalty and Adrian was a mobster type.
John was a Duke and Michelle was a salon and dress shop owner.
Molly ended up being the "murderer".  It was fun visiting and getting to know everyone better.

Halloween Parade

The kids have a Halloween Parade every year at school.  Halloween isn't until Wednesday but the school had the Halloween parade and parties on Friday.

Pumpkin Carving

Cyndy and Kim had us over last week for dinner and pumpkin carving.  I love that they have it at their house because I don't love carving...or the mess...big surprise right?!

I offered to help the kids with carving and they insisted that only Dad could help....(Luckily)

Scarecrow Festival

My friend Brenda had told me about the Scarecrow Festival and told me how much fun it was for the kids, so I decided to take them.  The boys LOVED it.  I think Alyssa and Natalie had fun too.

Boston hijacked my phone...and this was on it.
At the Scarecrow Festival.  Waiting in line...it took a while.

I think they put too many bands on for Alyssa because she could hardly touch the tramp to jump back up.  She had fun anyway...

Alyssa and Natalie got peace signs on their cheeks...
They made rockets and then launched them.  It was really cool to see how far they would go.
Brock's rocket didn't go very far and I could tell he was disappointed.  After two tries, he ended up ripping the fins off, which made it even worse.  So we went back and had them re-glue them on.  The girl who fixed it glued them the right direction and he was a happy camper when his rocket flew.  Looking back at these pictures I can see that the girl that glued Brock's did it wrong....sometimes you gotta learn the hard way.
After fixing Brock's rocket it flew to the second bouncy house and landed on the roof.  He ended up having to bounce in the house to get it off.
The kids played games and won tickets.  Boston chose this lamb.
Brock chose this "police-man" belt.  He was so proud of it.

Halloween is coming...

We went over to my Mom's house for a little bit, and my kids decided to go through her costume box.  They thought it was super fun.

Brock....hmmm

 Boston...Cheetah
 Morgan...Little Red Riding Hood.
Alyssa...a "perky" Grandma...of Little Red Riding Hood.
Brock made this for me last night while Gentry and I went to dinner with some friends.
He likes to remind me how "thoughtful" he is.

5 Million Pictures....

Peter....the guy who always takes our family pictures, text me the other night.  Apparently he saw the pictures we took of ourselves up in the canyons last week.  He didn't think I did such a great job (but in my defense it was half iphone pictures and half set the camera and run and jump in the picture.)  Anyway he told me that he would do our family pictures if I would do a photo shoot like I had a few years ago with Adrienne.  Peter didn't realize that Adrienne was in town so when I text him back and told him she was here for another day we set up a photo shoot and this is what we got....I have to say it was pretty fun.  We laughed a lot.  THANKS PETER for putting up with our crazy selves.
