CRUISIN' TO CABO

We drove to San Diego...which meant we had to stop in Vegas to visit my family...and of course how could we go to Vegas and not shop just a little:)
...and let the kids swim at my brother's pool.

Gentry and I decided to take the kids on a cruise.  We set some family goals, and that was going to be the reward...luckily the kids obeyed, because we bought the cruise before we had actually followed through with the goals.
My Dad just retired and well....thought it would be fun to join us.   We were glad they were able to come, it was fun spending time with my parents and the kids loved having Grandma and Grandpa there.  This is the pic they take before you load on to the ship.  The thing I love about guys is they let you buy the picture that is best of you.  The other pic my Mom's eyes were closed so my Dad sacrificed his eyes being slightly closed so we women could look better:)

The kids and I were patiently waiting for Gentry and my Dad to get back from parking the car.  Brock's face says it all.  They were sooo excited.

The room was better than I expected.  They had bunk beds that came out of the ceiling.  The kids loved their beds.
The kids loved the way the room steward did our towels every night.

The kids saved up their allowances to buy stuff on the trip.  Brock bought a puppet and performed puppet shows for us.
Boston picked this little dog in a...carrier that may resemble a purse:)
The kids went to camp Carnival the first day, they had fun making shirts and coloring them.  But they woke up the next day sick so that was the first and last time going to kids camp....they ended up being sick almost the whole trip, but they still managed to have some fun.  This is Brock in the picture...sporting the shirt he just colored in Camp Carnival.
Boston saw the miniature golf on the top deck and said "Look, they even have midget golf!" (He meant miniature golf.)
The ship had a big water slide on the back.  The kids loved it.  Even Gentry went on it.  I stayed back to take pictures...I mean somebody's gotta do it.
The kids played ping pong with Gentry, until Boston knocked it off the ship...ball overboard.
Swimming in the bright sun...requires your own "hand" made sunglasses.
Cabo in the background.
Gentry and the boys swam for just long enough to get their hair wet.  The water was FREEZING!!!
We did a little tour in the glass bottom boat.  That was probably one of my favorite things.  Check out the sea lions behind us.  They STINK!!!
Brock is Daddy's little boy. He only wanted to hang out with Dad the whole trip.
Alyssa and I had to get a new swim suit cover-up!
Alyssa was at Camp Carnival during this picture.  The boys met another set of twins at Camp Carnival.  Brock thought it was so cool that he asked them to sign his shirt.
The boys really wanted to buy these hats...luckily we were able to talk them out of them.
Dinner time...did I mention we were always eating???
As I was walking by this guy, I was thinking..."man that guy looks almost real"....just then he acted like he was swinging his axe at me.  So with my outstanding reflexes...I grabbed my mom's arm, bent over (almost into the fetal position) and screamed as loud as I could.  I think I got the attention of everyone within miles.  He scared me to death.  I really gotta work on my fight or flight reflexes.

Brock had a stuffy nose...so we used the Breath Right strips they gave us in our room.  It seemed to at least make him "think" it was working.
The last day was the day of the Tsunami in Japan, so they wouldn't let us pull in to port until the waves had passed the west coast.  So we spent a LOT of time waiting.
The people behind my kids were just random passengers making balloons for the kids.  It made the waiting lots more fun.
Did I mention we had to WAIT forever?!?  Oh well...the fun has got to end sometime:)

Funny story:
The crew takes pictures of you every night at dinner so we would go look at the pictures they took.  There was a picture of Boston and I hear him saying to Brock "Oh my gosh Brock this picture of me looks just like you with no front teeth."  I laughed even harder when Brock agreed.

It was a fun time. Your pictures look great. Thanks for sharing the cruise with us. I thought the sea lions had lots of personality-didn't notice the smell.
