1st Soccer Game
Boston and Brock had their first soccer game today. It was so much fun to watch. They actually really seemed to like it. Brock scored 4 times...unfortunately 2 were for the other team. I was cheering because I didn't realize it was the other teams' goal. Let's just say lucky for everyone I'm not the coach.
This is Max, Brock,Boston, and Jett before the game. They were excited to be on the same team.

LAS VEGAS
So Gentry decided to take me to Vegas. We had been wanting to go on a "get away" for a while now. He was on the computer 24/7 looking at hotels and places to go. He found a killer deal and we took advantage of it. It was the best weekend ever. We had so much fun. That was our first time alone! We usually have friends or kids with us, so it was a fun change. I loved spending time together with no interruptions. Here are a couple pics of our adventures. We stayed in a suite at TheHotel at Mandalay Bay. It was incredible. The tub was as big as a hot tub and the shower was a steam shower, so you didn't get cold...I loved it!:)
This is a pic in front of New York New York...we didn't stay there, but for some reason most of our pics are in front of it. Go figure.
This is a pic of us after going to one of those time share things. I actually felt like I was on Candid Camera the whole time. The guy was a complete jerk, and he drove us in his trashy car that wouldn't start, and was using the F word because he was apparently "having a bad day". So I was like "Can I get my free stuff so I can go now?" Oh and he actually wanted me to shake his hand after wiping his snotty nose. For REAL??? I wouldn't have purchased anything from this weirdo even if I liked the condos...which I didn't.
Signing up for my free stuff. Oh we got tickets to Bodies, and $125.00 for dinner. Not bad.
Yeah so I went to get a spray tan before we left....Umm it did a number on my hands. I wore long sleeves the whole trip trying to cover up my "OOmpa Loompa" hands. It was even worse in real life. This is the couple we met at the condo thing. We actually had a pretty good time hanging out with them. We made new friends. Last but not least. We tried to take a picture in our hotel room, but we couldn't get a picture with both of us having our eyes open. We couldn't stop laughing after we started. It became a joke so we decided to ask people to take our picture and then make a retarded face. The funny part was people tried to be nice and say "I think it turned out nice!"...we got a good laugh.
We thought the kids would think this was a cool picture.
Our "special" faces...of course the people thought we were trying to look nice, so they didn't say anything mean.
I had to buy slippers because my flip flops were killing my feet. Yes I actually wore them walking down the strip. They have rubber soles...does that make it ok?
Thanks to both our parents for taking the kids so we could have our fun, romantic get away!

Blogging Meets Facebook...
So I just found this blogfrog thing and I think it seems pretty cool. It works similar to Facebook by searching people you might know and finding their blog. Click on the link on my side bar to sign up. See who you can come in contact with. I haven't played on it for very long, but it seems like a good idea. Let me know what you think!

Well many of you may have noticed I re-arranged the pics on my last post. I FINALLY figured it out...well sort of, ok, ok...Adrienne figured it out..go figure. So now I can match up the story/wording to the pics.
What's a girl to do??? My friend Adrienne is MOVING!!! I'm so sad:( She's figured my whole life out for me lately. She helps me organize everything from my closet to my make-up, she fixed my blogging issues. (She even let me know my link didn't work for the blog book and fixed it for me.) She helps me stay on schedule with working, and even gets on my case if I take on too much. (She probably doesn't want to hear me complain, that's why:) But I can't tell her thank you enough. I never miss running...(well almost never) because we have so much to talk about every morning from discussing The Bachelor to The Hills...you know the important stuff. I kept telling myself that they were going to change their minds but I guess not. Blanding it is.
So knowing she is going to leave soon we felt like we needed to take advantage of the fun stuff...so off for a Pedi, get a refill (we've been saving at least 30 cents every time) and a little shopping. I had to show a pic of the toes, we both did the same design and color.
I have to tell a funny little story: One time we were going to get refills and this guy leaving the gas station dropped a quarter, he was going to leave it on the ground so she picked it up and offered it to him, he said she could keep it and she was pretty excited. I laughed and told her the guy probably thought we needed the quarter since we were getting refills. I made fun of her and she said she always picks up SILVER. So pennies aren't worth her time:) Well the worst part was, the stupid guy at the counter charged her for a FULL PRICE DRINK!! She didn't realize it until she got in the car. So I told her that the quarter she picked up basically paid for the difference. OK so I guess you had to be there for that story.
Luckily there is NO SHOPPING and NO MALLS...so I have a feeling she will be back every few months.

Letterman-Here we come!
So I've always wondered how people come up with these "stupid human tricks"...and now I know. The other night Gentry and I were in bed and the kids all come running in to show us that Boston had a crystal in his belly button. I swear my kids are so bizarre. I couldn't help but laugh. Ever since he was a baby he has pulled on his belly button. We had to leave his pajamas half-way unzipped so at night he could play with his belly. (Weird I know.) But apparently he's stretched it out enough to fit a crystal.
Next is a little Valentine round-up. We had a fun time. I'm bummed because I forgot to take pictures at Alyssa's school party. The room mother put a ton of fun cute ideas together and I know Alyssa had fun. I need to post some pics of that. (Maybe I'll steal some from her teacher:)..thanks Cyndy.) The boys were super bummed they didn't have a Valentine shirt like her, but I told them hearts look better on girls.
Boston and Brock wore red shirts and red sweats that resembled something more along the lines of Capri's, but they didn't care they were in the "Valence Time" spirit. (That's how they pronounce it.) They made these cards for us, and I thought it was sweet...notice how Brock said he'd help put out the pool as his "gift" to us, and Boston said he would make us a Valentine card for our gift...he actually had his teacher write that on the Valentine card...someday they'll laugh at themselves. I loved it though.
And last but not least...Gentry came home from work while I was picking Alyssa up from a birthday party, and I came home to beautiful flowers, chocolates and a super sweet card. Thanks so much babe! I LOVED IT ALL!
One last side note: I included a picture Brock colored. I noticed he wrote his name completely backwards. I used to do that when I was little. I thought it was a left handed thing, I guess not cause he is right handed.

Don't Speak Too Soon.
Well I've learned my lesson. I went blabbing my mouth about how good and easy my twins are getting...too soon. Here's the story:
So I took my kids to the beauty supply with me last week and as I was checking out the girls who worked there commented on how good my twins were. I was like..."Um are you talking to me?" Anyway I told them thanks and left the store on a complete HIGH! I couldn't believe MY KIDS got a compliment. Usually the comments I get are:
"Boy they sure are active."
"I bet they give you a run for your money."
"How old are they?"....(while mentally calculating the fact that they should be behaving better.)
So naturally I went to my friends house and told everyone how easy my twins are getting and that they are my little buddies etc. I was so proud they were getting to be so much better....DON'T SPEAK TOO SOON!
Literally THAT NIGHT, my dad was nice enough to take the kids so we could go see the premiere of Confessions of A Shopaholic. (We didn't get to see it though, there was a mix up with the theater.) Anyway we get home and my dad says "Well they were very active!"...meanwhile the toy room is a mess and they've amputated and beheaded all the barbies my mom owns. And then we get a call from Alyssa's school teacher AKA Grandma Cyndy, saying she is...to put it nicely, giving her a run for her money. Wow talk about bad timing on my part.
So I am going to blame their bad behavior on the fact that we are READY FOR SPRING! I'm tired of being trapped in-doors, and I'm guessing they are feeling the same.
Oh yeah, the picture of the boys was taken at Cabela's. We thought it would be fun to take them there...um let's just say I've never seen so much camouflage in my life. No bling to be seen...not my type of store:)

Quirks
Let's start out with: "I hope this is just a phase". We were going for a drive and the kids wanted to go for a walk when we got home. It was nice weather so I said we could go when we got home. Boston started crying and I asked why he didn't want to go and he said, "Because I wanted to play dress up". (Oh dear)...and then he got Brock to join in. I'm telling myself they put these on for lack of a better option..I really need boy costumes. Notice Boston's socks. He has worn them everyday for almost a week..I've tried to wash them. He thinks they are so cool because Alyssa let him have them.
Another thing, Boston has this quirk that every time he eats he has to show me with his fingers how many bites he is going to take. So a couple days ago while they were eating lunch, I noticed Boston hadn't finished and he was off to play with his toys. Knowing he was going to be hungry in another half hour I told him he needed to eat more of his sandwich. I went to the bathroom and next thing I know, I see his little fingers under the door showing me how many bites he is going to eat. (Just for the record I didn't have a camera in the bathroom I took these pics later so I could have a "visual" for my post...it's my quirk.)

Rockin' Eggs
My kids get bored and they come up with the most random ideas. So the last idea was to make a swing with their jump rope and my treadmill. And we all know how I feel about treadmills...they are like prison, I'd rather jog in 7 degree weather than the treadmill because I watch the time and 30 seconds feels like 10 minutes. So the fact that they used it for a swing seemed like a great idea...one more reason I can't use it:)
Anyway so the other day Brock comes upstairs crying, and Alyssa and Boston following behind to explain. So I take one look at Brock's forehead and see the treadmill marks and I couldn't help but laugh...he swung once too hard and slammed right into the tread. I tried to take a picture but he didn't want to cooperate, so you'll have to click on the picture to get a better visual. (And yes I am well aware of the fact that he has popcorn stuck in between his teeth...I do brush them though.)
A couple other things I have to mention. I made my last years blog into a book and I LOVE it!! I was reading posts I completely forgot about. So I am trying to make an effort to write the fun things my kids say. For example it is winter and I'm not crazy about the snow so I've been taking my kids to the library a lot..or as Brock would call it, the LIVE BERRY.
Yesterday Brock was helping Gentry fix our door...yes and Gentry fixed our locks too. (For the record we have been living the last 2 months with only locks on our BACK yard door. That issue is fixed now..thank you Gentry.) Anyway Brock smelled something bad and said to Gentry "That smells like rockin eggs!"
