DISNEYLAND

Boston has been wanting to go to Disneyland for a long time now.  I told him we couldn't go because it was Christmas and it would cost too much but he talked Alyssa and Brock into going to Disneyland instead of presents.  So long story short we went to Disneyland.

Boston was so excited he turned to me several times and said "Mom, I want to do this every year.  This is so much better than presents!"

I love this picture because literally everywhere we went in Disneyland Boston was holding my hand.  I loved it.

The first day we got to Disneyland we decided to go to Downtown Disney because we didn't have tickets to get into Disneyland until the next day.  The boys wanted to make cars at Ride Makerz.  It's kind of like Build a Bear but with cars.  They LOVED it.  And they love their cars.
It was kind of pricey by the time we bought the car, made it remote controlled and then bought the re-chargeable batteries.  Oh well...Making Memories!
Alyssa was a good sport to wait until they got done.

We had dinner at Tortilla Joe's.
Then did a little shopping for Alyssa.  She picked a leather bracelet with her name engraved on it.
Gentry took the boys to the hot tub while Alyssa and I stayed back at the room.

I forgot how good the 3D movies were.  We had fun.
Donald is the most fun character.  He was so cute with the kids.  We didn't spend much time with the characters...to busy hitting all the rides!
Cars Land was really fun.  It's been 3 years since we have been to Disneyland and lots has changed!
 The boys with Nate.

It was so fun to have the White's there.  The kids wanted to go on all the rides with them.
I had to give Alyssa piggy back rides because her knees hurt so bad.  I made her change her shoes and she did much better the next day.

Nothing like an adult group on the Alice in Wonderland ride.

Angie and Greg invited us over to their condo in Newport beach.  It was BEAUTIFUL!  Their parents were so nice to feed us dinner too.  It was a really nice break from Disneyland.
So apparently this is what I look like...walking about 40 feet in front of everyone.  Greg did this impression and I about died laughing.  I'm sure he was spot on with how I looked.

The kids spent a few hours swimming and running around.

There's 1 ride even I didn't want to go on...

 LIKE FATHER LIKE SON

This was Brock's favorite part of the trip.  Jedi training.  We had to get there 1/2 hour early to get a good spot so that they would get picked.  And LUCKILY they did!

 Watching fireworks from the hotel.

Our flight home was delayed a few hours because of freezing rain.  The SLC airport was closed.  Luckily we were able to eat lunch at the airport and play some games on the iPad.
It was a fun trip making lots of good memories with the family!

Raptor Leadership Award

Both of my boys got the Raptor Leadership Award today.  They've never gotten it before and they were really excited about it.  We were really proud of them
These are all the kids from the different classes of each grade.
Boston's award had Brock's name on it, but they said they were going to fix that today.

Happy Birthday, and Happy New Year!

This year my birthday was so fun.  It started out at Chick-fil-a for breakfast with my Mom and sister Jennifer (who came in town just for my special day...OK maybe Christmas too).  I went to order and pay for food for me and my kids and they said they wanted to give it to me for my birthday.  I was super excited.  Then my Mom and sister went to pay for their food and they gave them their food for free too!  I was pretty darn excited.
Then Adrienne surprised me and came in town a day earlier than she had planned.
Gentry told me he would take the kids for the day so that Adrienne and I could go shopping...
Gentry and Brock took the kids to the indoor soccer dome by our house.  They were supposed to have bouncy houses but after Gentry paid for it, they told him the bouncy houses weren't working....but they decided to stay and play football anyway.
 Best Husband in the world!!!

It was such a fun birthday!! It's my favorite day of the year!!!

NEW YEARS EVE...
We didn't do a whole lot for New Years Eve...I made dinner and we just chilled at home with some junk food for snacks.  We watched the Ball drop at 10:00 and then off to bed.  Boston fell asleep at 9:45...but the good news is, we woke nice and refreshed in the morning!
A great way to end 2012!!!!

The BEST Christmas Ever!

Today turned out to be a great day.  We woke up to lots of snow, but the roads weren't too bad.  The kids slept in til about 6:30 which is really good for them.
We decided to take the kids to Disneyland this year, so we told the kids they could only ask for 1 present.  They were super excited to get a couple extras.

Alyssa got a cell phone.  She has been asking for that for a LONG time.
All day today she keeps saying "I can't believe I have a cell phone!"
Alyssa picked this sweater out for Frannie.

The boys asked for Air soft guns....they were so happy to get them.

We went to my parents house for breakfast.

My Dad made eggs and my Mom made yummy cinnamon rolls.
Janay made the frosting for the cinnamon rolls.
Dash was admiring himself in the mirror.

We are so happy to have Buster back.

Brock did target shooting all day.

I'm starting to like Frannie a little more...she's been lots better about going to the bathroom OUTSIDE!

Gentry wanted to have a little "contest" on who could shoot the best....and basically I won.  (sometimes I even surprise myself...I actually started laughing..bulls-eye!)
Alyssa has loved her phone.  I think she has texted everyone she's ever come in contact with to let them know her new number.

Then we went to Cyndy and Kim's for lunch/dinner.  We got to open more presents and the kids were in HEAVEN!  I think Brock said about 20 times today that this is the best Christmas ever!

This air hockey was quite the hit.  The boys were ecstatic about it.
 Thanks Kim and Cyndy!
We took the kids to see Parental Guidance.  The kids liked it.  In fact Brock's exact words were "That was WAY better than the Life of PI!"
Then it was time to come back home so they could play some air hockey!!!
I have to agree with Brock...this was for sure one of the BEST CHRISTMAS'S ever!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
