We picked Gentry up from work on our way out and this time we took Frannie with us. She did good, but I think it will be the last vacation with her:)
We went to the Boise river and floated down on tubes and little boats. It was really fun. It took about 2 1/2 hours and we all loved it. Alan was nice enough to help us get set up, but he was on call all weekend and couldn't join us for the river.
There had been a bunch of fires nearby so the air was really hazy and smokey. But earlier that morning it was beautiful weather.
Michelle and Morgan are holding on to this tree stump and seconds later we crashed into them...not sure how it happened but we laughed the whole time.
The boys wanted to hang on to everyone else. They said it was way more fun with everyone else...apparently Mom and Dad ain't so fun anymore.
Brock at one point decided to grab onto a tree thinking he could stop
the boat, but instead the boat kept going without him...he slipped
through Gentry's hands. Gentry yelled for him to let go of the tree and
all I could see was his panicked face trying to swim towards the boat.
He caught on to the boat a minute later but we were all laughing so
hard it was hard to grab him. Brock laughed after he realized he was
OK, but I could see the fear in his eyes while he was in the river.
There were a few limbs that hit us in the face/legs etc but luckily no
major injuries. Megan lost her sunglasses after tipping over on her
float. The boys were loving it. They were being silly the whole time. The first little drop we went over I was nervous and after we got over it Brock said "Now that was WICKED awesome!" We laughed hearing him say that cause I've never heard him say that before. So apparently it was REALLY cool.
Alyssa was on the tubes with Maren and Megan...they tied all the tubes together.
When we got home Michelle made dinner and Megan decided to paint the kids faces like Indians. They thought they were so cool. They had built a teepee the night before with left over logs and rope that were in Alan's backyard.
Alan was nice enough to teach them to shoot bows and arrows. They LOVED it. Now they want to buy their own.
The kids asked if they could sleep in the teepee and Megan volunteered to sleep with them. I was sure they would come in after an hour or so, but they slept out there the ENTIRE NIGHT!! They were so proud of themselves.
Megan even built a fire for them and helped them make s'mores...Ok so maybe I had one too.
And last but not LEAST....Alan bought me a SNUGGIE!!! He bought it as a joke, but little did he know that I LOVE IT!!!! It's already gotten good use.
***On the way home our kids kept asking if we could turn around and go back to Idaho.***
