What Boston Knows...
Today when I went to get Boston from his class at church his teacher told me that Boston said "Heavenly Father doesn't watch TV...watching us is like his TV." I laughed. But I also thought it was a pretty clever little thought. I love that kid:)

JELLY BELLY DARES
We took the kids to Lava Hot Springs for the weekend. ( I will post pics of that later.) While we were there we took the kids to an ice cream shop to get a treat. We found these Jelly Belly packs that have different flavors good and bad. For example: A black Jelly Belly could be either skunk flavor or black licorice, or a brown might be pencil shavings or caramel popcorn. So we brought them back to the place we were staying and dared the kids to try them. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Poor Brock...every time he tried one it was the gross flavor. But he was a good sport and did it over and over again. The funny thing is I could smell how bad they were, so I can't imagine how bad they tasted. There were even flavors like vomit and moldy cheese...both of which Brock got to try. In this video Brock got TOOTHPASTE. Here is a little video from Gentry's phone.

JUST FOR THE RECORD......
I went to pick the boys up from school today and as I was leaving their teacher Miss Elke was laughing and telling me that the boys were giving away all of our secrets. I got a little nervous (because you never know what my boys will say) and Miss Elke proceeded to tell me that the boys said that have to go to bed while mom and dad watch their "grown-up" shows. Then they told her that they will sneak in the hall and watch the shows. I about DIED, I'm sure she thinks we are watching some trashy shows. But for the record these shows include...American Idol, Survivor and the Bachelor. (Which, some may be considered trashy at times.) But I can just imagine what shows Miss Elke thought we were watching. So if you happen to hear any crazy stories from my kids..check with me first:)
OK OK OK, I know I've got an obsession. I love getting new bedding. I love making it, shopping for it...I've got issues I know. I think we have had close to 17 bedding sets since we've been married. But last August I made this black bedding. (I took this pic before it was all the way finished but it's the only one I have.) It was fun for a change but I decided I am too much of a color person, so about a month ago Gentry said I could get new bedding. I bought most of it (on sale I might add.) But then it needed something so I did the patchwork runner and the end of the bed along with the two big pillows. What can I say? It makes me happy every time I walk in my room.
SO much more "ME"....I love it...at least for a few months..ha ha.
This is my favorite picture of the boys. I enlarged it to a 20x30 and put it up in their room. They think it's pretty cool. What can I say, this is them EXACTLY. (Always up to some type of mischief)Sunday, February 14, 2010
Happy Valentines Day
Since Valentines was on a Sunday this year Gentry and I decided to celebrate it on Friday...which ended up extending itself into Saturday. It was such a fun weekend.
Friday my sister had my kids sleepover at her house. The kids were so excited they could hardly wait. (I'm horrible, I usually don't let the kids have sleepovers.) Gentry and I went to dinner and afterward went to get a couples massage. We went to Massage Envy for the first time. It was fun being with Gentry but the girl who gave me my massage had gas. Seriously girl, I can still smell your fart even though my head is in the pillow. I after the 3rd time smelling something sulfer-y I was about to stand up and tell her something stinks (a nice way of saying..."chick, I can smell you've got gas.") But luckily she stopped.
Saturday Tara babysat my kids, she is so fun she took them to her house and made plates and plates of heart sugar cookies that the kids decorated. The kids loved it.
Gentry and I went to see the Valentine movie. I thought it was over-rated. I wouldn't recommend it..it was just OK. I thought it would be really good with all of the actors in it. Oh well, still it was entertaining:)
Then we headed to Texas Roadhouse where my friend Kristin works. She SERIOUSLY hooked us up. We didn't have to even wait! (And the place was crazy crowded.) She sent us home with some extra rolls we got to enjoy for breakfast. YUMMY!
We had a super fun weekend. The kids had fun too. Yay...until next year.

Questions
I love the way kids think. They crack me up. While I was clipping the boys fingernails before bed this is my conversation with Boston.
Boston: Did Heavenly Father make us?
Me: Yeah
Boston: Was it hard for him to get our eyeballs in?
What makes kids think of these things? I love the way their little brains work.

GOOO RIVERTON!
Alyssa-Brynlee-Lexi
Alyssa and Lexi warming up.
We still need to work on some of these angles:)
Alyssa decided to do the Riverton High school mini cheer camp with her two friends Brynlee and Lexi. They had a good time.
I am posting one video (the others wouldn't upload) this is when the band decided to play the fight song in the middle of the cheer and dance. The look on Alyssa's face cracks me up. She actually turns around to see why they are interrupting her performance. She even gets the nervous blinking twitch because she wasn't prepared for that one. All of the girls were confused because the band wasn't supposed to play.
GOOD JOB ALYSSA!:)
