The Last Two Weeks, and Panguitch

Chick-fil-a had their annual dress like a cow and get a free meal day, but this year they had a contest on who came with the "biggest herd".  So we got everyone together and we WON!!!  So now we get a free catered event!
I made Alyssa stand next to Adrienne...I can't believe Alyssa is as tall as Adrienne!  She is getting so tall!
Adrienne came to visit and brought her friends Mandy, Amber and Mandy's 3 kids.  They all played great, but while Amber and Mandy were at the store and on their way home Jersey (Mandy's oldest) ran over Jagger (Mandy's middle guy) with the razor scooter and sliced Jagger's foot open.  So we spent part of the night at the ER.  Poor guy had to get 7 stitches.

Alyssa was in the parade for Draper days with her cheer squad.
We made it to one store while they were here (literally about 5 minutes before they closed).

TRIP TO PANGUITCH
We started out at Bryce Canyon while we waited for the team BBQ that night.  The kids had a blast, but it was a little too steep for me.  As I was walking up the the ledge I saw the team of boys next to the ledge and as I was yelling "Mikesell boys get away from the edge" Brock jumped....I screamed (because I thought he was going to die) and then I saw his head pop up...(I didn't realized there was another ledge to jump on.  Long story short, I couldn't handle anymore after that.  So I stayed back at the car and worked while they hiked.
Gentry got some great videos of each day, and I did a terrible job of taking pictures.  The boys won their first game 21-4, lost their 2nd and 3rd game....which gave us Friday to play a little bit more.

All the baseball teams got to be in the parade.  The parade was really fun for all the kids. They got lots of candy and the firetruck sprayed them lots.  They had a blast.

Oakli was there with her family which made it nice for Alyssa.  She was so glad to have another girl there.
Panguitch even made banners for the team with all the team names too!

One of the coaches had his little boys and his wife was with the older Riverton team in California, so a few of us helped out a little bit with his little guy.

Gentry was super excited to rent this ATV for the day.  The kids LOVED IT!
My favorite part of the trip was horseback riding!  The kids loved it too.  My parents came with us for this.

Since it was only a 4 seater I stayed back at the cabin...which turned out to be OK because they got SOOO dirty!

I had so much going on with work the whole week that I ended up leaving a day early to get some stuff done.  Alyssa wanted to come home with me.  My parents drove us home early.  Gentry and the boys ended up going fishing the next day.  Brock ended up catching a flip flop.  Apparently no fish to be caught for the Mikesell family.

9U Baseball State Champs!

Brock has played a lot of baseball this year.  He was able to make the Allstar team.  They are a really good little team.  Brock has played catcher, 2nd base and a little outfield too.  He is really liking it.

This was their last game.  If they won this game they got to go on to Regionals.  They WON!! We were so excited they won 9-2.  Brock started as catcher and finished in center field.  He played great.  We were so proud of him.
Boston has been to every game.  It's so cute to hear him cheer for the team and especially for Brock.  He's so proud of his brother.  I love it.

They got medals and hats for winning the state championship.  (Gentry was a little disappointed they didn't get trophies.)

When they announced the teams they announced each player's name.  They announced Brock as "Hollywood".   I cracked up.  But it seems to fit.
We ended up playing Taylorsville 3 times.  They beat us the first time and we beat them the second and third time.  They were a really good team, and the coaches seemed really nice.  Sometimes I hate the other coaches, but these guys seemed to be nice.

It was so fun that Brock and Max were able to play on the same team.

Brock had great coaches.  He really liked them.  Brett Candelot, Jon Dunfield and Rae Carter

They bought silly string to spray on the team after they won.

This has been a really fun year for baseball.  It's been so fun watching Brock progress so much too.

24 Hour Trip To Blanding

I had promised the kids that they could take a trip to Blanding.  The only problem was, with Brock's baseball schedule we didn't have more than a day without practice or a game.  So we decided to head out Sunday morning and come home Monday morning.  When we got there Adrienne's kids were still at church so we got in her car and waited while she picked up her kids.  We surprised them!  It was really cute.

We decided to make a quick trip to the Four Corners.

This picture is of the sign in Utah...it made me laugh because it was SOOO windy.  But that's just how it is here.
We stopped at the gas station Ian works at and got some pizza for dinner.

The kids LOVE Adrienne's backyard.  They spent the whole night making a fort.

The next morning I left with all the kids to go back to Utah.  We got home 5 minutes before Brock had to leave for his baseball game.  It was a fun quick trip!
