HAPPY HALLOWEEN

So today is a crappy day for trick-or-treating.  Super rainy, cold and wet.  I got to stay home and update our blog while Gentry and the kids are trying to trick-or-treat...we'll see how long it lasts.

Boston decided to wear the Tigger costume AGAIN...and Brock went for the Hulk costume from 2 years ago.  It was probably a good idea since it is raining and cold.  At least they'll stay warmer.
Alyssa stuck with the Camp Rocks costume but decided to change it up a little with PINK hair...pretty sweet!  Thanks Grandma Cyndy:)  Hey and her snow boots even match!

Of course by the time they left they were covered in coats, hats and umbrellas...no one will really know what they are dressed as tonight.

HALLOWEEN PARADE

Today was the Halloween parade with my kids.  This was the first year they've all been in it together...going to the same school.  My Mom took Matt and Michele's little ones Tate and Porter so they could be part of the parade too.

Here are a few pics of the event.

Young Womens Halloween Party

We had a Young Womens combined activity this last week...it was a Halloween party of course so everyone dressed up.  Gentry was gone so I had to take the kids with me.  I think they had fun because I let them dress up too.  My boys are always looking for an excuse to wear their Tigger costumes...unfortunately they are getting too small I think.
 Me and Annika
 Annika, Me, and Kellie
Some of the Young Women who got there on time:)
Annika, Kellie, Me and Jen...I couldn't find both leg warmers...so I just decided to wear one.
The whole group including my kids...thanks Annika, I stole it off your blog:)
We played this really fun game...each team got 6 rolls of toilet paper and we had to wrap someone into a Mummy.  I took it VERY serious...and we won! (As if I would let the Young Women, or Young Men win...yeah right!)

Pumpkin Carving at Grandma's

Yesterday we were supposed to go over to Gentry's parent's house for dinner and pumpkin carving, but when half of us ended up with the flu we had to postpone it until today.

Hey umm Brock..look at the camera...ahhh nevermind.

Brock was the only one who wanted to carve the pumpkin himself.  Unfortunately it was the bottom of the pumpkin and he was a little embarrassed when he realized what he had done.

 Notice the embarrassed face..
Boston, Bridger, Kamri, Jordyn, Brock and Alyssa

We let the kids carve pumpkins outside (with Gentry's help)...it was almost 70 degrees...love this weather!  Cyndy made chili and breadsticks for dinner.  It was really fun!  Thanks Cyndy!...Kim, sorry we had to reschedule for the day when you had to work, but the chili you made was YUMMY!

Incredible Pizza

Jett, Alyssa, Tenli, Brock, and Boston
 Adrienne and Boston
 Me and Tenli
 Jett, Boston, and Brock
Brock and his "special" smile...this boy struggles getting a natural smile, he's probably just annoyed I keep trying to take his picture.
 Boston
 Brock
Boston.  I don't know why they always have red stains on their face.

 Alyssa
Me and Alyssa...Adrienne was watching us and told me I should try to win, but the other dang kids kept cutting me off.
I asked Brock to give me a better smile and this is what I got.  I didn't think nostrils could flare that big...but I was wrong.
Me and Adrienne...we didn't get a picture together at Incredible Pizza...so we took our own:)  Thanks for coming to visit!

Halloween stuff

So all of my kids love holidays.  Boston I think wins for being the most excited.  When I switched to my purple purse a few weeks ago, he told me it was a great idea because it is a Halloween color.  October 1st he was wearing an orange shirt. (The only one that he felt was a "Halloween" color.)  Then begged me to get out his bones shirt.  (The Halloween shirt from last year.) The boys wore it all day...then the next day came and they still wanted to wear it.  They are off track so I said OK...I wasn't in the mood to battle.  But on DAY #3 they still tried to wear the bones shirts.  I told them we had to wash them, but they wouldn't change.  So off to the store to buy another Halloween shirt.
THANK YOU WALMART FOR SELLING $5 Halloween shirts!
We took the kids to the Dollar Store a few days ago.  Boston picked out this Witch for the front door...I told him I'd let him put it on his bedroom door:)  He was thrilled.
This is actually day 1 for the bones shirt..so it wasn't dirty yet.
Brock wanted to take a picture of the gun he got at the Dollar store.

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Today we went over to my Mom's house for the birthday dinner for all of the birthdays in October.  After dinner we let the kids go pick pumpkins for the annual pumpkin patch pictures.
I actually had no idea my Dad was in back of us.
Maybe I shoulda washed his face before pictures....nahh let's keep it real.
My favorite thing about this picture is that Brock actually picked a honeydew and he thought it was a white pumpkin.
Boston...this is his favorite thing, getting "decorations" for the holidays.

Well it was a success we got lots of pumpkins for the front porch.  Thanks Mom and Dad!
