THE GREEN GOBLINS

This year we decided to try out another organization for soccer.  We wanted the boys to play with their friends and cousin Max (aka Buzz) but in order to do that we had to provide a coach.  And so I volunteered Gentry.  (He hates being in charge so I told him I would be in charge he just needed to teach the kids to play soccer.)

The kids decided to go with the name GREEN GOBLINS...creative huh?!?

So yesterday was the boys 1st game.  The field was twice the size as last year and instead of 6 on 6 it was only 4 on 4.  So needless to say we had lots of kids on the team ready for their turn to rotate out.  The boys got a workout that's for sure.

Boston scored...I was so excited.  He didn't want to play just a few days ago, but I told him it was too late to change his mind.  I think I said something along the lines of "Newsflash buddy, I paid too much money for you to change your mind...You're gonna play and you're gonna like it." So when he scored Gentry threw him in the air to celebrate.  Before the game was over Brock scored too.  I was so glad. They both had a great time and were glad they played soccer.

The wind was horrible during the game so I'm blaming the windyness on why I didn't take very many pictures.  I took 3 pictures total. The first two are of Brock in action.  He's number 6.  Boston wanted to be number 3.
(Notice Coach Gentry on the right.)
Brock is probably one of the smallest kids on the team..next to Boston, although they are probably the oldest.  Looks like they might be taking after Daddy's height.

This last picture is of Boston right after he scored his first (and only) goal of the game.  He looks like he got a workout, I love the red face.

Oh yeah and notice Boston's TWO missing teeth.  Uncle Matt had to pull out the other one too. Funny story:

While Boston was at Matt's office he had just gotten him numb and Boston turned to me and said "Mom, it feels like I have a big PIMPLE on my lip."  (as if he's ever had one.)  I had to laugh though.

One last story:

I made this spicy garlic shrimp for dinner tonight.  The kids and Gentry all love it.  But after everyone was done and cleaned up Brock came in the other room and said "Mom, how long did you cook that shrimp?  Did you cook it for a long time?  Cause even after I got a drink my mouth is still burning."

I don't know why that made me laugh.  They call everything spicy.  Like when the strawberries or grapes are not ready to pick (but they pick them anyway) they tell me they are "spicy".  Or when something is hot they say it's spicy too.  I love those boys.

I Spy with my 3rd eye...

Boston and Brock were goofing around last night instead of going to bed.  Now Boston has a nice sized 'goose egg' to show for it.

So last Saturday I was at the store and the kids asked Gentry if they could go to the neighbors garage sale.  He told them yes, so off they went.  Unfortunately for them the neighbors weren't having a garage sale they were just cleaning out their garage (I don't know why that makes me laugh, people can't clean stuff up without my kids wanting to buy the crap)...so they went the next street over and were lucky enough to find a garage sale.  They were so excited they got TWO stuffed animals and a purse.  They couldn't believe they were able to get such cool prizes for "ZERO DOLLARS"!  So now we have more crap at our house thanks to our charitable neighbors.  Oh well, it made the kids day and it didn't cost me a dime:)

Last night we went to the Rio Tinto stadium because my father in law had a work party for family night.  It was really fun.  They had people painting faces and making balloon animals.  My kids got to try out their soccer talent too.  They had tons of food and we got to watch a movie while sitting on the grass.  My kids had a blast and so did Gentry and I!
Thanks for inviting us KIM!!!!

Reed Family Reunion

Today was the Reed family reunion. (Gentry's Mom's side of the family.)   They had it at the Riverton Park so it was nice and close for us.
The boys thought they were hilarious swinging in the baby swings.
They played a game that the kids had to guess how many candies were in the jar.  Boston won and he was so proud of himself.
They also had a pinata and scored lots of candy.
Until next year...

1st Day of School!

Well today my babies started kindergarten!  I can't believe it...I think I'm excited for them?!?
Brock wanted to wear his skipchurs...aka sketchers.
I told the boys they could each pick their own shirt for the first day of school and they decided on the same shirt when we were at the store.
Brock gotta love the peace sign.

Boston wanted to wear these shoes because he had a scratch on the back of his heel and the other shoes hurt his foot.  I think it's gonna be a hard adjustment for him not being able to wear flip flops.
The boys both wanted the same backpack too.  I was surprised they picked these because they had camo last year.
Oh yeah...meet Claire's new best friend BELLE.
(Although Claire doesn't really like her yet.)
She's been a pretty good little kitty.  She's not quite aware of Claire's dislike...yet.
Awe...I'm gonna miss these guys:)
On their way...
