PICTURES

Nothing super eventful happening, but here are a few pics. Peter Looslie was the photographer. I think he did a great job. I'll post more later.

10 Year Reunion

So I had my big 10 year high school reunion this last weekend. I kept going back and forth on whether I was really going to go. I mean I wanted to go, but I was nervous at the same time. Like what are people going to really say to me? "You were a brat in high school!" ...actually I probably was, but I still didn't want to hear it. I hate when people remember your embarrassing moments. And I have plenty of them. So with the convincing of my good friend Katie I went.

It wasn't so bad. No one was mean, in fact everyone was nice. I didn't talk to a whole lot of people cause I was still sweating from nerves. It wasn't a huge turn out, and to all of you who missed it...I'm a little disappointed.

I can still remember my sister going to her 10 year, and thinking she was getting old. Well looky here...now who's getting old? ME!!! Time flies and sometimes I still think I'm 18...let's be honest, most of the time I think I'm 18 unless it's at bed time when I'm going to bed the same time as every senior citizen, or out to dinner at the same time as all the "old people" cause the young ones don't eat until at least 7:00.

Well here are a couple pics from the event! I didn't take pics...which is a big surprise coming from me.
This is the only pic I got at the reunion.

Bananas In Milk

I had to write this down, for some reason it was funny to me.

The other day Boston found Brock's sippy cup with milk and it was a couple days old so it was all curdled and stinky...we just threw it away cause that stuff makes me gag. With that being said this is the conversation between me and my boys.

Boston: Mom, tell Brock he can't put bananas in his milk. It was so stinky.

Brock: I didn't put bananas in my milk-it just did it all by itself.

Boston: Yes you did I saw it.

Me: Brock that is why we don't leave sippy cups out...they get rotten and stink. It's not a banana it's rotten milk.

A Video By Gentry

So this is just one of the videos from Gentry's phone. The quality isn't the best, but this dance makes me laugh so hard. I love that he holds the pose for so long that even Brock is yelling for him to start---he's waiting for the right moment to start. ENJOY!

Happy Birthday Gentry

To my hubby who threatened me to not throw him a birthday party for the BIG 3-0. So I will celebrate through the blog:)

These are just some of the reasons I love you.

You entertain our family whether it's singing the story to the boys you were supposed to be reading...and then Brock starts crying because he wants you to talk in a normal voice, meanwhile I'm listening to what is going on in the hall and laughing. Or even better when you tell them your own "made up" versions of 3 little kids named Boston, Brock and Alyssa and I am dying laughing listening to a story that is going nowhere and the kids are totally enjoying it.

I love that you will take video with your phone of a rainy drive so I can tell how bad the roads were, or you take pictures of random things and email them to me.

I love that after giving you crap about the improper use of the words there/their, you actually googled a test and studied until you got 100%, then asked me to quiz you. Good job by the way...I am very impressed:)

You are such a hard worker, and a good provider for our family. You find something entertaining about everyday to make it a good one.

I love you babe! Happy Birthday!...and no party I promise:)

Reed Family Reunion

We had a family reunion with Gentry's Mom's family over the weekend. It was really fun. The kids had a blast. The place we went to had two water slides, a zip line and lots of grass for the kids to play on. I even joined in on the fun...yes that's right I went on the water slide and zip line.

I went on the zip line, and Gentry recorded it. He was laughing at me make a fool of myself. The kids toward the end of the day were daring enough to go on the slide without the tube.

They had a candy cannon and the kids had so much fun running around to find the candy. I'll be honest...it scared me when it went off.

Labor Day

I'm sad to say this is probably the last pool party of the season. My mom called about a week ago and asked if we could have dinner and a pool party at our house for Labor Day. I was actually excited to have something planned for the holiday.

We had hamburgers...barbecued by yours truly...ME. (Notice Matt in the background, I swear I know I always say this, but do boys ever grow up?)

It was a smaller group this time, but we were lucky enough to celebrate Matt's birthday. The best part was he brought yummy chocolate cake. Oh and my parents made homemade peach and raspberry ice cream.

My nephew Buster was throwing Brock in the air, and he thought he was pretty cool...like Superman!
