School Projects

The other day we asked the boys what they learned at school and they told us they learned about the moon. They proceeded to tell us that "the moon isn't made of gravity, so if you jump you will stay in the air, but on earth we have gravity so we come back down." I thought it was pretty smart that they actually listened. Most days they can't remember the letter of the day so this was impressive.
Their teacher is really cute with them. Today they came home from school with their own creations of the moon. I'm not very good at keeping projects around my house so it's better if I take a picture to remember it.

Brock's version of the moon.
Take note:
Still sporting the same hat
Wearing his "cool" necklace
Also sporting his infamous All A Dollar watch.
Brock is so funny about what he wears. Some things just aren't worth the battle. Oh and he likes the fact that his hat makes his ears bend out. I'm afraid they might stay that way.

One more side note: The other day I was having a rough day and I was crying and the boys asked me if I was crying and I said no. Then Boston said "Then how come you're sniffing? Is it cause you want to be able to smell real good?" I thought it was pretty cute, and had to laugh.

A MUST SEE!

Our friends Nick and Mignon were nice enough to invite us to the sneak preview of THE PROPOSAL last night. It was one of my favorite movies in a long time. I was laughing so hard the whole time. It was funny, cute and a little bit of romance:) If you liked How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days...YOU WILL LOVE THE PROPOSAL. If you don't like Ryan Reynolds or Sandra Bullock, you will after you see this movie. They were perfect together and perfect for the part.

Thanks Nick and Mignon! We loved it!

BEST HUSBAND IN THE WORLD.

I have the best hubby in the world. I've always said there are 2 concerts that I'd want to go to. Britney Spears is one and the other is Justin Timberlake. On Monday Gentry called his friend Brock and they bought tickets for me and Kristin to see BRITNEY! I loved it. It was so much fun. Thanks BABE! I LOVE YOU!

Kristin was laughing at me cause I was acting like a star struck 16 year old. I don't care...it was so much fun. Britney is such an entertainer. I had a blast. I wish we could have gotten better pics, but we seriously had AWESOME seats. I turned to Kristin like 5 times and said how much I loved where we were sitting.

I wanted to get pictures with the concert in the background, but I felt bad cause I kept asking people to take our pics, so this is as good as it gets. PS notice my hat still has raindrops on it. We had to walk though a hurricane on our way in...so we were soaking wet.
I am a crappy video person, but here are a couple quick clips. The first one I missed the part where she said Hey Salt Lake...the second I just was a little clip, but it doesn't show how good our seats were. I loved it!

Easter 2009

A few more of the Easter activities. We have lots of fun traditions between mine and Gentry's families. It was a fun filled weekend! The kids had a blast.

At my parents house before dinner we all have to find the egg with our name on it. Alyssa had a monkey bar competition with all the other cousins, she gave them all a run for their money. She is pretty good at skipping bars. Watch out!Brock was pretty proud of himself. He wore his new basket ball jersey to church under his church clothes, and I didn't realize it until we were already at church. The hat actually came off for the 3 hours we were at church.

Sad little Boston, he didn't like the color of his egg.

Boston found his egg first. He forgot that he dyed it orange and yellow. I think he thought his was the pinkish purple one he dyed for me. As soon as he found mine, I let him keep it and he was all smiles from then on.

The kids love making funny faces.

Thanks for listening and putting shoes on like I asked...Boston:)

EASTER WEEKEND

This has probably been one of the most fun Easter weekends for my kids. They got to see Monsters vs Aliens on Thursday with Grandma Cyndy, then on Friday she took them to see the new Hannah Montana movie. ( I can't remember the name.) They thought it was so fun. I loved it too because it gave me a chance to run errands without the kids. Thank you Cyndy:)

Then on Thursday after the movie we went to Cyndy's house to decorate eggs, and make these cute little birds nests from rice crispy treats. They turned out really cute and the kids loved it. After Cyndy's we went to my Mom's for pizza and egg decorating. (The kids love to dye the eggs.)

Then Saturday morning we braved the weather and took the kids to the Riverton Easter Egg Hunt. They loved it. I couldn't believe what a good job Riverton City did. My kids' buckets were full! They had two Easter bunnies for everyone to get pictures with. I thought it was definitely worth the cold rainy wait. Kids are oblivious to the weather when treats are involved.

Gentry took Alyssa to the area for her age group, and I went with the boys to their age group. It was pretty chaotic but that only lasted about a minute and a half, then it was time to head home!

Aquarium 1/2 Price Night

So last month Adrienne wanted to take the kids to the aquarium, but I had meetings scheduled, so we rescheduled for this month. (We wanted to go on the first Monday of the month cause it's 1/2 price.) The kids had a good time...although I wish it would have lasted a little longer:) But we got 45 minutes of them running from exhibit to exhibit.

The next day I had to run errands, soccer sign ups, return books to library, go to the bank, meet friends for lunch, take junk from basement to the dump etc. My kids honestly said "This is such a fun day!" I swear they just like to go places. I guess I don't have to take them anywhere too exciting. Their favorite place to go....the dump! Who knew?

Enjoying our quick little break.

What Are Brothers Good For?!

I looked outside the other day and this is what I found. I love that they team up to get into trouble. Take notice on Boston's hat that he made at preschool. He wore it all day. Brock won't take off his Yankees hat unless it's bath time. Funny boys.

We also got tickets from a friend to go to the Jazz game. It was super fun...but a bummer the Jazz lost. We went with our friends Brock and Kristin. I made them take a picture after the game was over so I could post it on the blog. Does anyone notice my cool shirt I am wearing? I am bummed I forgot to take off my coat for the picture, but you get the idea.
