Easter Weekend

Well I hope you all had a Happy Easter! We sure did! We went to the City Easter Egg hunt...always a hit with the kids! (You know stand around for 1/2 hour waiting for the fire engine to sound...kids go running grabbing all the candy and plastic eggs they can find...lasting a whopping 30 seconds...but well worth it for the kids...at least I keep telling myself that:)

Then we took the kids to my Mom and Dad's house to do some egg decorating...which consisted of me asking which color the kids wanted their eggs to be, and me putting the eggs in the dye. (I know it's not as much fun for the kids that way, but let's be honest...I wasn't up for cleaning stains out of their clothes...and they still thought it was fun.)

Sunday we went to church...and yes made it through ALL 3 hours! I was pretty impressed myself I must say. Most Sundays I give up and send the kids home with Gentry...which he is more than willing to do.

And last but not least...we went to my in laws for the Easter egg hunt, and dinner. The food was yummy, and the kids all got new swim suits from Grandma and Grandpa Mikesell. It was really fun!

My Grandma Betty was able to be here for the eventful weekend too!

I was tired and ready for bed at about 7:30...which isn't much earlier than most nights:) But the kids had a good time, and enough candy to last til next year.

Funny moments with Brock

I was getting ready this morning, and Brock came in to use my bathroom. He loves talking to me while he is going to the bathroom. Anyway he said the funniest thing. (Well I thought it was funny, but my mom will be shaking her head in disapproval...sorry Mom.) Anyway he is sitting on the toilet and he point to his "boy parts" and says, "Mom, this is where you go pee huh." I said Yep you're right. Then he proceeds to point to the other end and says "This is where we go poo, huh Mom." I said, "Yep you're right again." Then with the most concerned serious look he says to me, "Mom you should get one of these." (Pointing to his "boy parts".) I had to turn around so that I wouldn't laugh.

Ok so then just a few minutes ago he was telling Gentry that his 3 favorite things to do are...

1. Go swimming

2. Watch TV

3. Go poop on the toilet. (He's not kidding either. The kid poops 3 times a day MINIMUM!..and I have to wipe his bum!)

The simple life of being a 3 year old boy!

This picture is of the other night when we went to Chick-fil-a. I don't like reading posts if they don't have a picture...and I didn't think it would be appropriate to have a picture of Brock on the toilet.

THANK YOU KASSIE!

So I know you are all going to be jealous when I tell you this, but my awesome sister in law KASSIE did my new header on my blog! Isn't it awesome? Gentry has been telling me I needed to do something about my blog because he said it reminded him of a hospital or something. So thank you Kassie...no more hospitalish (if that's a word) blog.

Now I know everyone else gets this whole computer technology better than me, but the first time I heard of HTML, I thought it was some kind of slang for hotmail. Well for those of you who don't know...it's not slang for hotmail...it means something else....but I still can't figure it out.

My "Special" boys

So I didn't put these pictures in on my last post, but after looking at them again I decided to share. I swear sometimes I think my kids are so weird. Brock honestly thinks he looks so cool. He had me take the first picture and then came running to see how he looked. He then decided he wanted me to take another one of him with the sunglasses tipped down. (Where did he learn that? I swear they are "special".) Anyway you can see from the pictures how proud he is. Boston of course is just happy to have his picture taken. My kids have been obsessed with this stupid floaty. I feel like popping it every time I trip over it because they left it out. I might have to destroy it during nap time.

PS Does anyone know how to make it so I can re-arrange photos and the words, so they aren't spaced all screwy? I can't figure this whole blogging thing out.

Busy Weekend!

Well this weekend Gentry has been gone doing the home show for his pool company. I must say I am way spoiled when he is here. I forget how much I look forward to him coming home before dinner, and helping out with bath time etc.

Anyway I bought the kids Easter outfits a few weeks ago, and I just got around to taking pictures of them. I like to have pictures before Easter. I had to go to church by myself today because Gentry is still working at the home show, and I was so proud of myself for getting to church (only 10 minutes late...not bad with the time change right?) And within 5 minutes of sitting down I look over at Boston and he has colored his tie, shirt, and arm with RED marker! ARGGG!.....(that is a frustrated sound) I was so frustrated because ties just don't wash up like clothes. So luckily I got pictures of them before church. They may not have Easter clothes for Easter Sunday.

Anyway I hope you all had a very happy Sunday. I just sent my kids to bed...Boston tried to bite Brock in the back of his head. Luckily Brock's head is bigger than Boston's mouth so it only hurt Boston's teeth. BOYS!!! (I don't know what they were thinking.)

Bye Autum

This Friday me and the girls that go running in the morning got together to have one last hurrah (sp?) before our friend Autum moves. We wanted to have a surprise dinner for her, but one of the girls---bless her heart didn't know it was a surprise and told her. We had the dinner anyway but it wasn't a surprise. It was actually really fun. We got to visit, EAT (my favorite pastime--that's why I run.) and we all took the color code test. Yes I know you are all wondering what color am I? Well I am exactly split on Red/Yellow. I don't lean more on either side. And I have absolutely NO white. (Poor Gentry has to live with me, luckily he is almost all white.) It is actually kind of fun to see what color everyone is.
You will notice that we have a pretty big group. Normally it is about 5 of us in the morning. Not everyone goes every morning....but I do cause I know I'll be eating like crap! I love my junk food. Thank you Carol for letting us party at your house!
(FAMOUS SIDENOTE:) Oh and how can I forget....Me and Gentry went to see STEP UP 2, it was even better than Step Up (1). You've gotta see it! I love the dancing, I wish I was coordinated!
